Theresa “Terri” Hacker It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa (Terri) Hacker who was called to Heaven on January 19, 2026. Born on August 10, 1939, one of eight children to Martin and Pauline Imrisek. Theresa was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Family was extremely important to her; she loved any kind of family gathering. She especially enjoyed hosting family get-togethers at her home in Lemont. She had a heart of gold and always put everyone’s needs before her own; she would do anything for anyone. Theresa and Robert were married on April 30, 1960, and shared more than 65 years of love, laughter, and joy. Loving mother of Robert (Karen) Hacker, Valerie (Mark) Lopes, Ronald (Sara) Hacker, and Kevin (Richie Dull) Hacker. Dear grandmother of Kierstyn (Patrick) Setter, Trevor (Allison) Lopes, Nick Hacker, Jenna (Nick) Crot, Ian Hacker, Carrie Hacker, Eric (fiancé Colleen Hord) Lopes, Cassidy (Ben Jacobs) Hacker. Dear great-grandmother of Josie and Callie Setter. Loving sister to the late Martin (Elaine) Imrisek, the late MaryAnn Mangrum, the late Richard (Gloria) Imrisek, the late Eileen (the late Glen) Fuller, Dolores (James) Sullivan, Patricia (Tom Lyons) Friego, Lucille (the late Rick) Kraepel; and many nieces and nephews. Her faith in Christ was especially important to her and guided her every step. Her devotion was evidenced through her praying of the rosary with her group, prior to mass and at home. Theresa will be remembered for her joyful spirit, outgoing personality, and her genuine kindness towards others. She was a lover of all animals, especially her late Labradoodle Chloe who she enjoyed taking on walks and to the park. Her love of sports started at an early age. She enjoyed playing softball and even considered playing it professionally. When her grandchildren were younger, she enjoyed watching and cheering them on in their various sports; she was such a proud grandmother. She loved her weekly bowling and fellow bowlers and was always excited to share her score with us even if she thought she did not bowl well.
Theresa will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
