Thomas AAA. Campbell, 71, passed away at his home in Bernard, Iowa on March 9, 2026. Tom was born on January 18, 1955, in Guthrie Center, Iowa son of Freda and Robert Campbell.
Tom will be remembered for his humor, his storytelling, and his independent spirit. He had a had a great sense of humor and loved telling stories, often at the expenses of his family and friends. Before losing his voice, many thought Tom had a "radio voice," making his stories even more memorable. Fiercely independent (and sometimes a little stubborn), Tom believed in in living his life on his own terms.
After graduating from Guthrie Center High School, Tom spent many years as a cross-country truck driver. Later, he became a dispatcher, where he provided guidance and support to drivers traveling throughout the country until his retirement. In his spare time, Tom enjoyed driving and working on his 1966 Ford Galaxie 500, a classic car that he took great pride in maintaining.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Angie (Scot) Snyder; a sister, Linda (Ron) Mark; brothers, Gary (Sue) Campell and Darwin (Jil) Campbell; a sister-in-law, Gwen Duke; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Freda and Robert Campbell and a brother Greg Duke.
A Celebration of Tom's life will be held at a later date.
