Thomas's Obituaries

Thomas Depew, Jr., age 89 of Camden, OH passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, OH.  He was born May 11, 1927 in Everts, KY, the son of Thomas Henry and Maude Depew.  On July 11, 1970 he married Lorene Lamb.  Thomas served our country in the United States Army from 1945 to 1946.  He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Cincinnati for 30 years.  He was a longtime member of Somerville Pentecostal Church.

 

He is survived by his wife Lorene; step-daughter, Geraldine Lawrence of Cincinnati, step-son, Stephen (Shirley) Lamb of Point Blank, Texas; brother, Henry Depew; grandchildren, Chastity, Joshua, Shannon, Denise, Dennis, Denver, Michael, and Wendell; great grandchildren, Abby and Dillion; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

 

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Louise; brothers, Arthur, Perry, Fred and Freedman; sisters, May, Mossie, Bessie, Sarah and Dorothy; and one grandson, Johnny Ray Lamb.

 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 12:00pm until the time of the funeral service at 2:00pm at the Ogle – Paul R. Young Funeral Home, Oxford, OH.  Pastor Deborah Richardson of Hope Ministries will be conducting the service.  Burial will be in the Fairmont Cemetery, Camden, OH.
