Thomas Lawrence Frichtel, passed away suddenly, Monday, September 2, at age 76. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence “Bud” Frichtel and Mary Frichtel (nee Fischer), and younger brother Joseph. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Christine Frichtel (nee Molina), cherished daughters, Stacey (Daniel) Belmont and Emily Winter, and precious grandchildren, Daniel "Buddy" Belmont III, Emma Jane Belmont, Benjamin Belmont, and Thomas Winter. He came from a large, fun-loving family of three surviving brothers, Steve (Claire), James (Cyndi), and Jerry (Mary) Frichtel, and one sweet sister, Mary Sue (Steve) Metter, and brother-in-law, Steve Molina. Tom will be greatly missed by his family, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.Tom graduated from Christian Brothers College Prep (CBC), and attended Rockhurst University in Kansas City, where he met his future wife, Chris. Tom worked for many years in the home building business, including Fischer and Frichtel, Concord Homes, and Frichtel Brother’s Construction. In later years, he was able to pursue his dream of buying a farm in order to plant grapes, and later opened it to the public as Lost Creek Vineyard Winery. This was his true passion and labor of love. Tom & Chris were founding members of St. Alban Roe Catholic Church in Wildwood, and recently joined Most Sacred Heart parish in Eureka. He is remembered as a steadfast, faithful, loving, kind, and generous person, who knew how to enjoy life and make his own fun. With his children and grandchildren, he kept his advice simple, “Smile, be nice, and work hard.”Services: Funeral Mass at Most Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Eureka, Saturday, 11:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired, contributions may be made to Circle of Concern. Visitation at the Schrader Family Center, Friday 4 p.m.- 7 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m until time of Mass at church.
