Thomas Hayes

Thomas Hayes 77 born December 24, 1944, in Mount Vernon Alabama to the late Fred and Luretha (Retic) Hayes. He graduated from Rosa A. Lott High School in Citronella, Alabama.

Thomas met And was married to the love of his life Wanda Rodgers Hayes. A marriage covenant of 43 years. He departed this earthly life on March 30, 2022 at Methodist Southlake hospital Merrillville Indiana.

Thomas began his early work life at Searcy hospital in Mount Vernon Alabama but spent many years at Courtaults Chemical plant and Virginia Chemical prior to moving to Indiana.

Thomas soon obtained employment at ANDERSON development company as a chemist as well as Illinois central bus company as a driver. If there is anything that one could say about Thomas it is that he would work Unceasingly to care for his family and that he was the wind beneath Wanda’s wings.

Thomas was proceeded in death by his father Fred Hayes his mother Luretha Hayes his daughter TIjuana Hayes

his son Thomas Hayes Junior his sister Clorand Cunningham.

He leaves to Cherish his memory his beloved memory his rock (Sue Baby) daughters Natasha Hayes ,Mobile Alabama, CHAYA Marie Hayes, Merrillville, Indiana, brother Edmond (Annie Ruth) HAYES, Mount Vernon Alabama , 4 sisters Earlene Barnes, Mobile, Alabama ,Pearlean Pollard, Mount Vernon, Alabama

Debra (Tom) MURRY. , Tampa, Florida, Barbara (Stanley) Walton, Minneapolis Minnesota

Also 6 grandchildren in Alabama and 2 grandsons in Indiana Plus a host of nieces and nephews family and friends already missing him
