Dear Pam, Janet and family,
I am so sad to read this news. It has been many years that I had last seen Tom. I have many wonderful memories of spending time at his parent’s house while growing up.

My condolences, his wit, caring and fun nature will be missed.

My condolences to Tom’s family. He was one of my favorite residents at Graduate. I knew he had returned to Emporia and when looking for a way to contact in anticipation of being in the area, I was saddened to see his obituary and am even sadder we lost touch. Every time I made his grandfather’s egg nog recipe (handwritten by Tom) I would think of him fondly and wonder how he was doing. Now I will lift my cup as I think of him.

First met Tom at Ku 1971, we were on the same floor at Oliver Hall. A great guy, one of the smartest people I’ve ever met. Met back up with him in the early 2000’s as he was a customer of mine at the Harbor Freight store in Topeka.

Janet, I’m so sorry for the loss of Dr Hicks, he was one of my favorite doctors to work with at the hospital. Hugs and prayers of comfort and peace be with you and your family.

Prayers to Doctor Hicks family. One of the best surgeons and doctors. Will always remember him.

He was one of a kind. My dad thought he was really good he liked him a lot. Keep your chin up kid it will get better just takes a long time. Christy Elliott

Was so sorry to hear he passed. I worked making appointments for him for several years. Never knew what to expect when he was around! You will be missed, Dr. Hicks!
