Thomas Iaione

Thomas Iaione 86 of Fanwood, NJ died peacefully on February 11, 2026 after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Tom on Monday February 16, 2026, 9:30 am at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church, 2032 Westfield Avenue Scotch Plains, NJ. There will be no wake and the Inurnment will be in the family plot in Italy at a later date. 

Thomas was born and raised in Montazzoli, Italy a province of Chieti. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 16 and settled with family in Scotch Plains, NJ. He returned to Italy in his mid 20’s, met his beloved wife Maria and they together returned to Scotch Plains to begin their family. Tom was a Tile Contractor by trade, owning and operating his own business for over 50 years. He was an active member and former President of the Italian American Club in Scotch Plains.  Tom enjoyed playing cards at the Club with family and friends.  He most especially loved his yearly trips back to his home town of Montazzoli, Italy with family and friends.

Tom is predeceased by his siblings, Nick, Angela and Elsie. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Maria ( nee DiCarlo ), His loving sons Tommi & Ralph J., and his brother in Italy, Donato and wife Cena.
