Will miss you uncle Tom but I still have my memories of all the time our family spent together and shared

I belong to the same Church as Claren (Tom) for nearly 20 years. Love him and his family very much. Prayers for all the family. R.I.P. Brother.

My deepest condolences Tom was my uncle, his brother Willard was my daddy. I will pray for Tom & his family in their time of mourning.

Clairn was always a happy and helpful cousin! I have great memories of him in the community! He had a good life and was well-loved. He will be greatly missed!

Thomas's Obituary

  Thomas C. McCoy, 87, of Burnwell, KY, passed away Friday morning, January 2, 2026, in Pikeville Medical Center.     Thomas was born July 29, 1938, in Burnwell, KY, the son of the late Lewis McCoy and Hester Marcum McCoy.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Thelma McCoy; daughter-in-law, Debbie McCoy; brothers, Arnvil McCoy, Ray McCoy, Willard McCoy, Stearl McCoy, Mearl McCoy and one sister, Billie Rose Payne.     Thomas was a retired coal miner, a veteran of the United States Army and member of the Gospel Revelation Tabernacle Church.     Thomas is survived by his children, Clark McCoy of Williamson, WV, and Thelma Lynn (Lonnie) Farley of Chattaroy, WV; one sister, Nonnie (Rodger) Imboden of Cartersville, GA; grandchildren, Debra (Brian) Hatfield, Nikkie (Dan) McNamee, Amy (Jacob) Staton and Erica Farley; great grandchildren, Garrett (Tyra) Brown, Matthew Hatfield, Bella Bentley, Kash Bentley, Kennedi Bentley, Sadie Staton, Blake Staton; great-great grandchildren, Josie Brown, Beckham Brown and a host of other loving family and friends.     Visitation for Thomas will be held Monday, January 5, 2026, from 6 - 9 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will follow on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, beginning at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel with John V. McCoy officiating.  Burial will follow in the Thompson-Moore Cemetery, Burnwell, KY, with his son-in-law and grandchildren serving as pallbearers.  R. E.
