I am grateful to have been able to spend time with Mr. Pichot. In just a few weeks of knowing him I got to witness what a sweet and wonderful man he was. I truly enjoyed working with him. He has left a lasting impression on me and I will forever remember him for the kind man he was.

THOMAS EARL PICHOTJanuary 27, 1938 ? March 30, 2015Thomas Earl Pichot, of Laredo, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 30, 2015 at the age of 77.Thomas was born on January 27, 1938 in Hondo, Texas to C. J. and Alice Saathoff Pichot. He was the eldest of four boys.He was immensely active in a multitude of community events and organizations. He was well known as a public speaker, historian, church leader, and author of many books.He is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Jacob and Louise Gerdes Saathoff and Adolph and Minnie Bendele Pichot; brothers, Dennis Leon, Clifton Charles, and Perry Lee Pichot; uncles, Frank Carrasco and Robert Burger, George (Lee) Pichot, Homer (Ida Mae) Pichot; and aunt, Eva (Archie) Brown.He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Georgia Gwendolyn "Gwen" Partney Pichot; daughters, Glynn Rae Pichot of Flower Mound and Cindee (Charles Keeling) Pichot of Norman, OK; granddaughter, Kayla LaRae Pichot and grandson, Russell Reed Pichot Brandt; his sisters-in-law, Laura Pichot and Maria Guadalupe "Lupita" Pichot; brothers-in-law, Richard (Mary) Partney of McCamey, C.H. (Barbara) Partney of Lake Whitney, James (Beverly) Partney of San Antonio, Larry Partney of Brackettville; sisters-in-law, Hattie Berleth of Bracketteville and Leta (Glen) Andrew of Kerrville; his aunts, Ada Carrasco, Adell Burger, both of Uvalde, Cecil Partney of Adair OK, and Cindy Dodd of Canyon Lake; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.Visitation will be held Friday, April 3, 2015 from 5 to 7 in the evening at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home, 2006 Avenue M., Hondo, Texas 78861, (830)741-2224.Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Guinn-Horger Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot, Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section, 400 County Rd. 443.Memorials may be made to the Schweers Historical Foundation, 2412 Becker St., New Braunfels TX 78130, or Castro Colonies Heritage Assoc., P.
