Thomas Pruitt

Thomas E. Pruitt, age 87, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at his residence near Patterson, MO. He was born September 10, 1937 in Augusta, AR the son of Lawrence Pruitt and Gladys Ward. 

On December 10, 1989, Tom married the love of his life, Arlene Hartwein in St. Charles, MO. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and shared adventures. After serving in the United States Air Force, he began his career as an over-the-road truck driver, traveling the country for over 35 years. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters: Jewell Stone, Clarice Gringer, and Shirley Barrows.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Arlene Pruitt of the home, five children: Gregory Pruitt and his wife Patty of Waukesha, WI, Cheri Denning of Waukesha, WI, Mike Maxwell and his wife Elaine of Troy, MO, Michele O’Loughlin and her husband James of Troy, MO, and John Maxwell of Farmington, MO; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren, along with many other family and friends.

A private family memorial will be held to honor the life of Mr. Tom Pruitt at a later date.
