I'm one of those who was late to hear the news about Buddy's passing. He was a wonderful friend and I was deeply saddened. I experienced many fond memories with Buddy, both at work (Dorothea Dix Hospital) and away from work. He was indeed a conscientious and devoted worker who centered himself, whenever he could, toward the welfare of others. Life hold many questions and offers numerous philosophies. Buddy was the type who was always willing to listen and ready to talk about almost anything....

Worked and was friends with Buddy since 2005@ Dix. He was a true humanitarian, friend and truth seeker. Loved his talks and appreciated his help. His laughter was contagious & I will miss him very much. Rest In Peace my dear friend. God bless. Jawatta thanks for being the loving spouse he so needed and deserved. May you find peace.

I am so sorry about your loss. I worked with him at UNC hospitals. He was a kind soul and fun to work with. When he found out that my son plays table tennis, he bought him two great paddles and four balls but now he did not have the opportunity to play with him. I got his last text in June wishing me speedy recovery. I am saddened that I didn't tell him that I am back to work. My prayers are with the entire family. May you rest in perfect peace Buddy.
