Thomas "Tom" Allan Barkman

Thomas Allan “Tom” Barkman formerly of Burton and Flint, age 61, died Wednesday January 22, 2025 at Henry Ford Hospital Jackson.  A funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm Friday February 7, 2025 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Pastor Wilford Carlson officiating:  with cremation to follow. Family will receive visitors from 3:00 pm Friday until time of services at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Tom’s memory to the family.

Tom was born in Flint Michigan on January 10, 1964 the son of Leslie and Joyce (Ruggles) Barkman and had resided in the Burton-Flint area most of his life. Tom was an avid NASCAR enthusiast and enjoyed watching professional football, in his early years he loved his quiet time fishing. He had been employed by several freight companies as a truckdriver.

Surviving are his children: Brennan, Bryce, Ty, Addy, and two grandchildren. He also leaves his father Leslie and wife Linda Barkman, brothers: Steve (Jodi) Barkman, Scott Barkman, and a host of extended family and friends.  Tom is preceded in death by his mother Joyce Barkman in 2006, brother Tim Barkman in 2011, and Edna Barkman in 2012.
