Thomas P. Bredehoeft, son of Edwin and Bernadine (Wojahn) Bredehoeft, was born July 16, 1946 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. He received his education in Emmetsburg, graduating from Emmetsburg High School. Following high school, Tom was inducted into the United States Navy on March 30, 1965, served on the U.S.S. Nicholas during the Vietnam War. Tom was honorably discharged on March 25, 1969.
After returning to Iowa, Tom began hauling livestock in the area and later became an over the road trucker.
On October 27, 1973 Tom was united in marriage to Susanna Marti Wilson at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sac City, Iowa. Tom and Susanna made their home in Algona where they were members of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Tom was an avid Minnesota Vikings and Iowa Hawkeye fan. He enjoyed watching car races and collecting Wheaties boxes. He loved spending time with his dog, Buster .
Tom passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022 at his home in Algona, Iowa, at the age of 76. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Bernadine Bredehoeft and a sister, Gloria Bredehoeft.
He is survived by his wife, Susanna of Algona, Iowa, as well as extended relatives and friends.Arrangements by Martin-Mattice Funeral Home
