Not sure what to say?

I only met Tom once, at his rummage sale a couple of years back, but ended up returning and hanging out with him for a while and having a fantastic discussion about camping, music, and his hammered dulcimer he was selling. It was brief, but his kind soul and conversation made for a wonderful day. So sorry for your loss.

Bonnie, My deepest sympathy to you and your family. May you happy memories sustain you during this sad time and in the years to come. Love, Betty Wanta

Yvonne, I Am so sorry for your loss. I met your husband and he was such a nice guy. Please accept my condolences. Daniel Lonski ( from MCH )

What a talented, kind, and good man. I loved hearing Tom’s voice, way of speaking and what he had to say. Working with Tom at HNTB, I was always amazed at the drawings he would quickly sketch up; they looked like finished art. His work on landscaping along Madison’s East Washington Avenue, designs on the Milwaukee area bridge overpasses along I-94, the Marquette and Zoo interchanges, and probably countless other public works, can be seen today and into the future. So sorry for the family’s...

I worked with Tom for many years at HNTB. He did landscape layout design on several subdivision and project site plans that I worked on. I enjoyed the lunches that we took. He also did some minor repairs on a violin I had. So sorry to hear of his passing he was a friend at work and a genuine super person. Rest in peace Tom.

Kindschi Family,
We are sorry to see of the passing of Tom. I knew Tom at East High School. We also worked together for one or two summers for the City of Madison Parks Department on the Yahara Hills Golf Course, while in college. Don Selje (East 1967) also worked with us. My sympathy to you all.
Charles Schaeve (East High School 1968)
Christine Flagstad Schaeve (East High School 1968)

I worked with Tom, many years ago, and he was a great guy. Always kind and willing to help others. My condolences on your loss.

We are very sorry to hear the news about Tom's sudden passing. We have happy memories of hearing mandolin music waft across the culvert at the lake. We also appreciate the time and effort that he spent as former chair of the lake association. He was a great lake neighbor and he will be missed. We extend our sympathy to you!
