Timothy's Obituary

Timothy Lee Behrens, age 75, beloved husband of Denise, nee Tluczek; loving father of Katherine (Garrett) McMahon, and Timothy, Jr. (Claire) Behrens; dear Papa of Ellie, Colin, Ariana, and Tyler; cherished son of the late LeRoy and Leona (nee Jahns) Behrens; dear brother of Penny (late Jim Walker and late Eldon) Anderson, Debby (Bill) Wedow, Rhonda (Michael) Mack, Philip Behrens, the late LeRoy, Jr. (late Laurel) Behrens and the late Tracy Behrens.

Tim was a proud Eagle Scout and he loved to hike and camp with his family. He fought to protect life by serving as a lifeguard at North Avenue Beach, and being a dedicated blood donor for the American Red Cross. He was also a member of MENSA and worked for the US Postal Service for 45 years. He was passionate about decorating the house for the holidays, and his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandkids who call him Papa.

Visitation will be at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home 7812 N. Milwaukee Avenue Niles on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Saturday 10:45 AM to St. Juliana Church Mass 11:30 AM. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery. Donations to the American Cancer Society appreciated. Funeral info: (847) 966-7302.
