Timothy "Tim"'s Obituary

Timothy “Tim” Budeau, 73, of Balfour, ND passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2026 at his home with family and friends by his side. Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the Balfour Cemetery.  Please join the family and friends for a meal after the ceremony at the Budeau residence in Balfour from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family: 10 1st Avenue East, Balfour, ND 58712.

Tim was born May 27, 1952 to Edward and Ramona (Mergel) Budeau in Minot, ND.  He was raised in Balfour, where he also attended school.  On June 9, 1972 Tim married Linda Weninger and together raised two children who filled their hearts and world.

Tim enjoyed many sports, but hunting and fishing being the last ones.  Gardening was his last obsession; he couldn’t wait to plant and share new produce.  Tim always enjoyed the many trips to Lake of the Woods, especially when he would get friends and family to join him.

Tim is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda; son, Mike (Rachel) Budeau; daughter, Heidi Budeau (Mike Myers); grandchildren, Kayla (Drew) Repnow, Sydney Budeau (Brady Sauer), and Tyler Budeau; mother, Mona Weninger; sister, Peggy Denver; step-sister, Tina Weinrauch.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Budeau; grandson, Seth Budeau; father and mother-in-law, Francis and Rose Weninger; brother-in-law, Pete Denver.

The Budeau family would like to thank everyone who helped us through the tough days, that Tim accepted, but we were not ready for.  Also, we would like to thank everyone for all donations given in Tim’s remembrance.  All donations have been given to the Balfour Cemetery.
