Not sure what to say?

I am very sad to hear about Tim , I will keep all of you in my prayers and pray that our Lord helps you all through such a terrible time.

Thanks for the memories, Potsy! I miss hanging out with you & those times. I will never forget the pic in my mind of you in a Flintstones tshirt, drinking beer out of a yard, with a permanent grin on your face on the top deck of the houseboat!

Rest in Peace & See you upstairs in the "Shop".

Truly a shock. My adolescence and "formative" years would not be the same without Tim. I can't think about him without grinning ear to ear. Even after I moved we had many meaningful conversations about everything. Every time I ever see a Dodge Dart rolling around, takes me straight to being 18 years old in the back seat, Nick Lakatos shotgun! I only have fond memories. God Bless All. Rest in Peace.

Many good laughs we shared. Never a bad day hanging out with you old friend. Thank you for the great memories. Rest in peace.

'Timbo' one of the special honors in my life has been being your Godmother (and cousin). We had so many fun times together as you grew up and enjoyed celebrating the special days in your life as you grew older. I'm so proud of the wonderful man you grew to be. You will forever have a special place in my heart. Miss you much and love you lots...

I’m heartbroken to hear about Tim’s passing. Even though our friendship was for a short time at Lemont High School 95’, I’ll always remember the laughs and moments we shared in our classes. He was an awesome guy, and I’m grateful I got to know him. Praying for his family and everyone who loved him throughout his life and may all the great warm memories of Tim remain in all your hearts forever.

Tim was the love of my life. Truly my partner in crime & my heart, soul and mind will never be the same without him. He was genuinely one of the kindest, caring & loving men I’ve ever met and I will miss him more than I could ever express. Love you baby hope you’re at peace!

You are my fourth cousin that has passed away, way too young . You will be missed. Your mom and dad will take care of you once again.

Thank You Tim for always having your 134 brothers back, we all appreciated your hard work and dedication. I’ll always remember that laugh you have. Grateful for our time together it was a pleasure. Rest in Peace

Timothy's Obituary

Timothy M. Smith, 48, passed away suddenly on February 22, 2026.

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Timothy M. Smith at the age of 48. Tim was a devoted fiancé to Alexandria Franco and a loving brother to Tammy (Smith) Lisk and Thomas (Darlene) Smith.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Thomas and Marilynn Smith.

Alexandria and Tim were more than partners they were true best friends who found their greatest happiness simply in being side by side. Their bond was one of profound closeness, trust, and understanding  a love that will forever live on in Alexandria’s heart.

Family meant everything to Tim. He shared a particularly close bond with his brother Tom, and it became their treasured tradition to meet each year for breakfast to celebrate their birthdays — a simple yet meaningful ritual they both looked forward to and held dear.

There was a 13-year age difference between Tammy and Tim, and from the very beginning, she embraced her role as a proud and protective older sister. In many ways she lovingly cared for him from a young age — a special bond that remained strong throughout their lives.

He was a proud and devoted uncle to Amanda Garcia, Tommy Smith, Joey Smith, and Noah Lisk. Tim was truly adored by his nieces and nephews, who cherished his humor, guidance, and unwavering support. The love he shared with them was deep and mutual, and the memories they created together will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Tim dedicated his career to Titan Electric, where he served as a respected General Foreman. He earned the admiration and friendship of many of his union brothers and sisters, taking immense pride in both his work and the relationships he built over the years.

Outside of work, Tim found his greatest joy on his annual fishing trips with his lifelong friend, Nick Lakatos, and their crew. He took pride in bringing home his catch and hosting fish fries for family and friends, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, storytelling, and good company. A true whiskey connoisseur and collector, Tim appreciated not only the craftsmanship of a fine bottle but also the camaraderie that came with sharing it among friends.

Tim will be remembered for his loyalty, generosity, steady presence, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, he leaves behind countless cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Visitation Friday, February 27, 2026, from 3 p.m. until time of funeral services at 7 p.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. 108 Illinois St. Lemont.
