Not sure what to say?

We met Tom many years ago when he used to walk 2 hound dogs through our neighborhood. We enjoyed visiting with him and inquired about his address. When he told us where he lived, we realized that we had looked at the home that Lori and he lived in when we were looking to buy a home in the neighborhood so we learned that they moved into the neighborhood about the same time that we did. The years have flown by.

Tom's Obituary

Dad started his earth-bound journey on July 10, 1954, and his journey ended August 25, 2025. He was a son of Earl Scott Jr and Verona Bea Booth Scott. A little brother to Earlene Beck (Michael) and Douglas Scott (Tammy). He became a husband to Lorraine Tischner on December 21, 1971. A father to Augustine, Amanda (Jack), and William. Grandfather (Pop-pop) to Tynesha (Daniel), Selleste, and Jacklyn (Eddy). Great grandfather (angel papa) to Brayli and Kycen.

Dad graduated from Kearns High school in 1971 and was active in the ROTC. With his plans to have a career in the military cut short, he worked various jobs to support his young family. He found his calling in the work force in sales and retired from Ken Garff in 2020.

Dad served several in-state missions with the LDS church and enjoyed every minute of it.

Dad was a gentle caring soul that would do anything for someone in need but wouldn’t ask for help himself. Always cracking jokes, just to make someone smile. Always the cheerleader, to help you through the tough times and always the first to tell you that he loved you and thank you for the smallest, everyday tasks you did. He was the shoulder to cry on, the quiet company when you didn’t want to be alone, and the first to invite you to the back porch.

Dad spent his remaining days fulfilling some of his lifelong dreams. It was not uncommon to hear him tinkering in the garage, out riding his bike, or cracking jokes. He loved being around his family and made sure everyone felt welcome.

Dad is preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister, and one daughter.
