Anthony Farrell “Tony” McDonald, 70, of Blanchard, died Sunday, August 31, 2025, in Norman. The son of Barth Aulton “Jack” McDonald and Alva Elene (Mills) McDonald, Tony was born on January 25, 1955, in Oklahoma City.
Tony was a “jack of all trades” but mostly worked as a carpenter in construction. He was Baptist in faith. In his spare time, Tony enjoyed muscle cars and riding motorcycles. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family and friends. He was affectionately known as “Papa Tony” to his children and grandchildren. Tony will be remembered for his friendly disposition and his signature cowboy hat, snakeskin boots, and long beard. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Allen McDonald.
Tony is survived by two sons, Chad McDonald of Blanchard, and Brandon McDonald and wife, Cassie, of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, Katelyn, Hunter, Brook, Lexi, Bella, and Jackson; five great grandchildren; his former wife and the mother of his children, Linda McDonald of Blanchard; one sister, Jackie Webster of Texas; three brothers, Steve McDonald and wife, Marilyn, of Blanchard, Avery McDonald of Blanchard, and Eric McDonald and wife, Clariza, of Kentucky; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Tony’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard.
