Guest Book

Not sure what to say?

My first manager at IBM. Tony got me started in life in business.

I had not seen Tony since my retirement from Capital One . My Condolences to his son and grandchildren. We would sit and talk about his family and how proud he was of them. He was especially lost after the love of his life Audie died.

I was fortunate enough to work with Tony Wakin two different times. The first time as a salesman at IBM when Tony was my branch manager. And, after his retirement from IBM, at BMC Software when Tony was a sales consultant. He excelled at both jobs. Tony was smart, honest, tenacious and highly respected by everyone. Tony Wakin was one of a kind. I will miss him.

My sincerest condolences to the Wakin family. Tony was indeed "one-of-a kind". He was a leader who coached, taught, pushed and cared. He expected to win! His mark on my professional career is distinct and long-lasting. I will forever be grateful to have had him in my life.

Tony was truly a one-of-a-kind IBM Branch Manager that influenced so many people. Even long after leaving the branch, his advice and friendship were always something to cherish. Steve, thank you and your family for sharing him over the years with so many people.

R. I. P. Our prayers are with the family.

Tony was unique-a terrific IBM branch manager-a legend in his time & the most influential person in my business career. He took a chance on this German major to be his first female sales rep, assistant & sales manager-could not have done it without him.

May God provide the family peace and comfort in this time of loss. Mr. Wakin was a fellow member at the Maud Gun Club.

My deepest sympathy to the family. God be with you during this heartbreaking time. Judy Robertson
