This has really hit home Vee.. you were like one of my kids.. I can’t believe that you were one of the little girls to come and hang out with my daughter..Yall making songs and just being kids..God gained a sweet angel but he left us morning over you.. I love you sweet baby..

Condolences to the family

To my dear family and those connected to “Vee”, I send my deepest sympathy from miles away. Vee was my cousin. Such a beautiful young lady who smiled, loved, and seemed so happy to be in her own skin. I thank God for all she accomplished and shared with us, including her children. Valencia Ja’Quawn Jones, affectionally known as “Vee,”born on June 1, 2000, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passedaway peacefully on October 9, 2024, at the age of 24. Valenciawas a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend whotouched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, andinfectious smile. She was a resident of St. Gabriel, Louisiana.A graduate of East Iberville Elementary and High School,she was currently attending ITI Technical College.

Valencia leaves to mourn: her son, Jeremiah Lee Rodrigue ofSt. Gabriel, Louisiana; parents, Vilmore and Shauntell Wilsonof St. Gabriel, Louisiana; siblings, Shedrick Reed, Jacob Jones,Vilmore Wilson, Jr., of St. Gabriel, Louisiana, Travis Wilson,Tricia Wilson, and Amber Wilson of Fort Worth, Texas, andDreazon Dumas of Palmdale, California; grandmother, LisaJones of St. Gabriel, Louisiana; grandfather, Lonnie Bessof Baton Rouge, Louisiana; aunts, Sheree (Ronald) James,Patrena Million, Vanessa (Devin) Nelson, Tameka Jones,and Latina Jones of St. Gabriel, Louisiana; uncles, AaronJones and Curtis Jones of St. Gabriel, Louisiana; godmother,Nikita Boudreaux of St. Gabriel, Louisiana; special friend,D’Nya Garrison; special aunt, Briggette Ausbon; and a hostof nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including the EastIberville High Class of 2019.

She was preceded in death by her son, Derrick DemitriceJones; grandparents, Evelyn Wilson and Ernest Jackson; anda host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
