Van David Murphy, Sr. of Dyess, AR was born on January 24th 1960 in Osceola, AR to the late Van Murphy and the late Lois Flowers Dean. He was a Supervisor with Ratner Steel and held an Associates Degree in HVAC. Mr. Murphy passed away on August 9th, 2023 at Ratner Steel in Osceola, AR at the age of 63. He is preceded in death by his wife Robin Murphy, his father Van Murphy, his mother Lois Dean and his father Bud Dean, and one sister Sheila Burt. HE is survived by one son Van David Murphy, Jr. of Dyess, AR, two daughters Tona Tucker and Christen (Ricky Blagg) Murphy all of Dyess, AR, seven brothers Coady Sanders of Ashflat, AR, Mike Trenthom of Mountain Home, AR, Van (Linsay) Murphy, Jr. of Caraway, AR, Carl (Deborah) Murphy of Osceola, AR, Terry Murphy of Joiner, AR, Justin (Brenda) Murphy of Paragould, AR and Robert (Brandy) Cotton of Jonesboro, AR, seven sisters Ruthie (Ronnie) Hill of Osceola, AR, Sherry (Robert) Yerbey of Dyess, AR, Dorothy Barry of Joiner, AR, Brenda Pittman of Calico Rock, AR, Vanessa (Mike) Cooney of Mountain Home, AR, Diane Trusceli both of Mountain Veiw, AR and LaRhonda Howard of Texas, sixteen grandchildren Macalia, Brookelyn, Robert, Tyler, Skylar, Abby, Dj, Braylon, Bryleigh, Harley, Caleb, Cali, Atley, Robin, Daisey, and one unborn, two great-grandchildren Jocelynne and Axel. The visitation will be held Sunday, August 13th, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, AR. The funeral will be held the following day Monday August 14th. 2023 at 11:00 A.M. also at Wilson Funeral Home is Osceola, AR, with the burial immediately following at Bassett Cemetery in Bassett, AR.
