Sorry for your loss. Prayers for the family Mr.Van was a very nice man. I grew up around him in Bivins Addition.
And my Son Chris grew up around him he called him Uncle Van. Always had a beautiful Smile. He will be Missed.. He is Resting in Paradise.

Van's Obituary

On Thursday, September 13, 2018, God said well done good and faithful servant you have been faithful with a few things I will put you in charge of many things. Van Robert Sr. was born to the late Author Fisher and Lucille Stephens in Harrison County and received his education in Panola County where he received a Mechanical Certificate. Mr. Robert also served in the United States Army.

 

Van joined the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Longview, TX at an early age where he served on the Deacon Board. He worked at Wellman Industry and Pegues Hurst Ford until he retired.

 

November 10, 1956, he united in Holy Matrimony to the Ella Bell Robert and their union lasted 61 years; during that time four children were born.

Preceding him in death are his parents Authur Fisher and Luciell Stephens, his wife Ella Robert, four sisters Illinois Harris, Laverne Macklin, Louise Bailey, Lorene Green, three brothers Gus Fisher, Leo Green, Kenneth Green, one son Randy Harris and great-grandson Dantrel Robert II.

 

He leaves a legacy of memories: Wanda Anderson of Lancaster, TX, Van Robert Jr. (Karen) of San Antonio, TX, Sharon Rockwell of Dallas, TX, Vanessa Jones of Lakeport, TX, and Teddie Pegues of Fort Worth, TX; two sisters: Irma Jean Jackson and Emily Jackson both of Longview, TX; two brothers: Willie Green of Longview, TX and Bennie Green of Dallas, TX; 22 grandkids; 27 great-grandkids; 1 great-great-grandchild; a host of nephews, nieces, friends, and A Special Thanks to Heart-to-Heart, Visiting Angels, and Ms. Pauline Brown.
