Not sure what to say?

I will missed Veda's heavenly and anglic voice. She knew she could and would hit those high, high sorpirano notes(those 2 higher)for anyone. Verna and Raymond stand strong and never let go of GOD'S hand. Take care..Your childhood friend from HARD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL and JACKSON SOLOMON ABRAMS HIGH SCHOOL and MORNING STAR UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. GOD BLESS YOU and Yours. Sarah Ann

Oh Ms. Porterfield, how you will be missed. A wonderful woman, mother, and supporter of our school but also a committed parent to her children’s learning at all times. It has been amazing getting to know you throughout the years and working with your daughter. She will always be loved and have a place in my heart and I know you will forever have a place in hers. We love you Ms. Porterfield.

The memories of my time with you bring me joy. I cherish the laughter we shared and the moments we created together. Your presence at Greil was a gift, and I am grateful for the impact you had. You will be deeply missed by everyone. #DecoratingQueen

It is with a heavy heart that I heard of Veda's transition. I had the honor of serving as her pastor for several years in Montgomery and came to love her and her children. Her voice and sweet spirit will never be forgotten. Angels guide her safely home. May God give her children and family peace and comfort they don't know possible.

My prayers are with the family at this time. I meet Veda over 40 years ago. We lost touch and I often thought about her. I am sad we did not reconnect before her passing. God bless you all.

My sincere condolences to Veda's family and friends. May you always cherish her memories.

Veda was a member of my ADMH Advocacy work family and was always kind to me. I wish and pray Veda's family and friends will receive peace and understanding in the days ahead. I have fond memories of Veda, and I hope everyone will be comforted by their precious memories of her. Fly high, Veda!

Veda was caring and dedicated to her family. She often shared pictures. I worked with her while she was at Central Office. My sincere condolences to the family and friends who knew her. May you find peace in the fond memories you had of her.

My heart goes out for your loss. I hope your happy memories will help you through this difficult time.
