I met Vera through her son Michael. Vera was one of the nicest people I ever met in life. I am very sorry to learn of her loss. My condolences to her family.

Vera's Obituary

Vera Holland, age 93, of Toledo, Ohio, born in Ottawa, Illinois, entered  into eternal rest. She was a devoted Christian, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a retired registered nurse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Holland; her son, Michael Holland; and her granddaughter, Michelle Hayward.

Vera is survived by her daughters: Deborah Yoos (Gary Yoos), Mary Ward, and Carolyn Gano (Steve Gano); grandchildren: Jennifer Cole (Brian Cole), Heather Holland, Rachel Aguero (Robert Aguero), Lynzee Sarno (Nick Sarno), Danielle Ward, Steve Yoos (Cheryl Yoos), Dennis Yoos, and Roxanne Yoos; along with 13 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Vera’s legacy of faith, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she will be greatly missed, her loved ones find comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the loving arms of her Savior.

Visitation and funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with funeral services to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Foth-Dorfmeyer Mortuary (*within the Castillo Funeral Home) located at 1757 Tremainsville Road, Toledo, Ohio. Internment will follow at New Bellville Ridge Cemetery.
