Not sure what to say?

Steve and Kim, Dan and Robin, and to all the family, Vern was an inspiration to me and so many others. As soon as we started attending worship at Minetto, Vern and June were two of the first to greet us with smiles and a handshake. I served with Vern on numerous committees. He was truly an inspiration to me and a good...

We knew Vern from our years at Minetto UMC. Such a kind person. Jim and i saw him in May at the Annual Conference. We are sorry for your loss.

On behalf of myself and fellow classmate Dave Johnston, we send our sincerest sympathies to Dr. Tyron's family. He was a mentor to Dave and I as we took several of his classes while undergraduates at SUNY Oswego in the early 1970s. Dr. Tryon instilled in us a sense of professionalism and degree of knowledge that carried us through our careers in technology education and beyond. He was a role model to be emulated and we did our best to do so. Rest easy, Dr. Tryon. May your memory forever be a...

Mary Allen

My condolences to the Tryon Families. Knew Vern fo many years and respected him greatly. A truly nice man .RIP Verne!!

He will be missed

What a beautiful tribute for a life well lived. I met Vern while working at SUNY Oswego and during a shared volunteer experience with the Salvation Army. But it was more recently that I got to know Vern, and his dear wife June, at Springside. As Resident Mentors they welcomed my parents into the wonderful Springside community, providing tips and support during an impactful transitional time. While visiting my Mother, I would see Vern coming/going to his duties and services at the...
