As I have said before, I have very fond memories of Victor and the Abbott family. They lived across the street from my childhood home in West Haven at 286 Third Avenue until the family moved I think to Derby in the late 50s. Victor's Obituary

ANSONIA: Victor H. Abbott Jr., age 71, entered into eternal rest on April 24, 2018 at Griffin Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Laura Jean Shaw Abbott.

     Mr. Abbott was born in Bridgeport on July 4, 1946, son of the late Victor H. Abbott Sr. and Elizabeth Stewart Abbott. He was employed as a truck driver for H. Krevit & Company in New Haven until his retirement. Vic was a member of Teamsters Local 443 in New Haven, Teamsters Horsemen Motorcycle Association and American Legion Post 50 in Ansonia. He was also Past President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Wallingford Aerie 1820. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, he honorably served during the Vietnam Era.

     In addition to his wife Laura, he leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Donna Moffett of Ansonia, Holly Abbott of Naugatuck, Crystal Abbott of Ansonia and Jennifer Young of Wolcott, sisters, Joyce Torello and Charlene Gallant of Naugatuck, thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Victoria Abbott, brother, Donald Abbott and sister, Virginia Driscoll.

     Visiting hours will be held on Saturday April 28, 2018, from 9:30 am until 10:30 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 10:30 am, a funeral service in celebration of Vic’s life will take place with Pastor Jim Wegner officiating. Interment with U.S. Army military honors will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. It was Vic’s wish to have his funeral procession led by as many Brother and Sister Horsemen Motorcycle member’s as possible, with Mike D leading on Vic’s bike.
