Not sure what to say?

Linda - I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a nice guy. Your parents were awesome! I sure had fun playing in your little playhouse when we were young. If you are ever back this way, let me know. It would be good to see you. My mom and dad still live down the road from your old house. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sandy Daupert Martin

I am so sorry to hear of Vic's passing. I would look forward to speaking with him we he came into the whitestown legion for coffee. Your Father was a good man, I will cherish his memory.

Victor's Obituary

Victor “George” Suszynski, 91, died peacefully May 24, 2020 of natural causes at Aristocrat Assisted Living in Las Cruces, NM, with his daughter at his side. He was born January 22, 1929 on a dairy farm in Lawrence County, PA, to Zigmund and Sofia (Olszesska) Suszynski, where he grew up milking the cows and working on the farm.

Zigmund and Sofia believed they named their son “George”; however, when he enlisted in the Army in 1950 his birth certificate revealed his name was “Victor”. Pfc Suszynski served two years in the Army with one year in combat in the Korean War. He was proud of his military service and was a lifetime, active contributor to the VFW and the American Legion.

Victor married Joan Yandell April 25, 1953 in Indianapolis, IN, and ultimately moved to a small grain farm in southern Boone County, IN, where he lived 63 years. Not only working on the farm, he was a machinist for 40 years and retired from Hurco Manufacturing Company in 1984.

Victor enjoyed bowling, playing euchre, watching Gunsmoke reruns, and sitting outside watching the world go by in his free time. He was a founding member, trustee, treasurer, and deacon for New Hope Christian Church, Whitestown, IN, over the years and loved his church family.

Victor was known for always having a smile on his face, a twinkle in his blue eyes, and a happy outlook on life. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents, wife, seven siblings: Stella, Jenny, Sofia, Victoria, Eleanor, Eddie, and Raymond, and nephew Sonny. Survivors include his daughter Linda (James) Frank, and nieces and nephews, including Barbara, Charlie, Babs, Richard, Sis, Michael, Kathy, Terry, Bobbie, and many more on the Suszynski side; and, Steve, Greg, Kevin, Jeff, Kristi, and Brad on the Yandell side.

Private graveside services will be held at Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown, IN, in late June. A family reunion and memorial will be held in New Castle, PA, in the Fall.
