Lelia Mae Turner

ODESSA Lelia Mae Turner, age 75, of Odessa, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born in Providence, TX on June 10, 1940 to the late Edward and Louise (Wylie) Jones. Lelia married Donald Ray Turner in Plainview, TX on February 25, 1960 and they enjoyed 56 happy and loving years together. She was retired from working as an assistant manager at Cloth World. She was a member of the Church of Christ.Lelia was a true homemaker and the classic Grandma. Her passion was quilting and sewing and she enjoyed other crafts and painting. Family was her first priority. She loved caring for them and was an awesome Grandma. She was loved by everyone she touched.Those left to cherish her love and memory are her husband: Donald Ray Turner of Odessa; two sons: Eric Turner and wife Sherry of Clovis, NM and John Turner of Las Vegas, NV; daughter: Margie McAnear and husband Revis of Jefferson, TX; two brothers: Noland Jones of Odessa and Edward Jones of Snyder; three sisters: Letha Hooper of Odessa, Edna Jo Lindsey of Ransom Canyon, TX and Gayle Cosgrove of Glen Heights, TX; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant son: Michael Travis Turner.A family visitation will be at Acres West Funeral Chapel on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Graveside services will be at Silverton Cemetery in Silverton, TX on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 1:00 pm.
