Vincent J. Carney Sr., 68 of 31 Gamwell Ave., died Friday, April 19, 2013, at his home.Born in Presque Isle, Maine, on March 26, 1945, son of the late John and Lena (Bass) Carney, he was attended schools in Ashland, Maine, and Townsend, Mass.For several years, he was employed as a parts manager for Milford Ford in Milford, N.H.He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and snowmobiling.Survivors include one son, Vincent J. Carney Jr. of Townsend; one daughter, Katherine Polowski of Townsend; three brothers, Dennis Carney of Riverside, Calif., Carlton Carney of Rush City, Minn., and Warren Carney of the state of Florida; two grandchildren, Kasandra and James Polowski, several nieces and nephews, and his former wife, Cynthia.FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Vincent J. Carney Sr. will be Monday, April 22, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA 01201 with the Rev. Charles F. Young, Chaplain of HospiceCare in the Berkshires, officiating.
