Virgil Leopold Linkert

Mr. Linkert was one of my very favorite teachers in the late sixties/early seventies at St. Peter's Lutheran School in Columbus, Indiana. He taught language arts to me as a sixth and seventh grader and worked to develop verbal and written skills that still serve me today. I always attribut my high verbal score on the SAT to Mr. Linkert's teaching style and emphasis on vocabulary. My heart is so sad to know he is gone from all of us who loved him, however it is easy to say good bye when we know he is heaven & I will join him one day. I can't believe he followed his Best Friend Forever My Bill Horton so soon. People use the BFF so easy today but Bill & Virgil lived it 50+ years.
