Virgil Lee Seals Jr., born on July 15, 1949, in Amite, Louisiana, passed away on January 27, 2026 at his home. He was the third of nine children of the late Virgil Lee Seals Sr. and Ethel Caston Seals.
Virgil grew up in Metairie, Louisiana, and accepted Christ at an early age in the Church of God in Christ United. He graduated from John H. Martyn High School in 1967 and served in the United States Air Force. Virgil worked for Ryder Integrated Logistics for 15 years before retiring. Known for his big heart and love for family, he enjoyed laughter, sports, and fellowship at Sweet Home Christian Center.
He is preceded in death by his parents and five siblings. Virgil is survived by his wife Lorraine, children Nadra (John) Patterson, Taneisha Seals, Lakicia (John) Delaney Sr., Ronald (Larissa) Carmouche, and Cedrick (Dawn) Cline, along with his beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family, as well as pastors, officers and members of Sweet Home Christian Center and all neighboring churches are invited to attend his Celebration Of Life Service on February 7, 2026, at Sweet Home Christian Center, 434 Jackson St., Kenner, LA 70062, at 10:00 am. Visitation begins at 9:00 am. Pastor Mitchell Wilson officiating. Interment: Private. Arrangements entrusted to Dennis Funeral Home, 1812 Louisiana Ave.
