It is with great sadness that the family of June Gladys Ann Craig (nee Gaudette) announces her passing on Monday, June 18, 2011 at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. June was born on June 3, 1944 in Fort William, Ontario to Tousaint and Alice Gaudette. Growing up with 13 siblings, June learned the true value of things including families, staying close to hers the rest of her life. While staying at her Uncle Alf Paige's home in South Neebing, she met the love of her life Reg Craig. The two were wed on July 30, 1962 and started raising a family in South Neebing at the Craig farm. The couple then bought a house in Westfort in 1966 and the family grew to three children. She enjoyed staying home with her children and when they got older she started working as a maid-assistant housekeeper at the Red Oak Inn. A few years later she was forced to quit work to care for Reg when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. June was a devoted wife, mother, nana and sister. Her kind, generous way always placed family and friends first. She was extremely proud of all of her family, especially her five grandchildren. She enjoyed watching them excel in bowling, cheer-leading and ice racing. She spent time at her daughter's camp and watching her sons race stock cars in the United States. June enjoyed Bingo and her frequent trips to Grand Portage, She especially loved her surprise trip to Las Vegas with her children, celebrating her 65th birthday. June is survived by her sons Robert (Wendy) and Donald (Bonny) and daughter Linda (Frank) Prisco; grandchildren: Kristy, Megan, Carmen, Aaron and Tamara; sisters: Marie (Frank) Daigle, Deloris Nobis, Mary Desrosiers, Doris (Jack) Currie, May (Junior) Boudreau and Audrey (Bill) MacKenzie and brother-in-law Joe Falcioni. She was predeceased by her husband Reg in 1994; parents; brothers: Joey, Charlie, Victor and Billy; sisters: Margaret Falcioni, Violet and Val (Leonard) Beauchamp; brothers-in-law Phil Desrosiers and Roger Nobis. Funeral Services for the late Mrs. June Craig will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 22, 2011 in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.
