Earl and Terry, I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember Uncle Earl well from my childhood days. He was always great to us kids and my heart breaks for your family at this time.

William Earl Dail, Sr., 80, of 1157 Hwy 343 North, South Mills, NC, died Saturday, May 9, 2015 in his home. Mr. Dail was born in Camden County on October 1, 1934, and was the son of the late Lonnie and Annie Stallings Dail. Retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, he was an Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Sawyer Dail; three brothers, Lonnie, Tom, and John Dail; a half-brother, Willie Stallings; and by two half-sisters, Alice Morse and Louise Hewitt. Surviving are his daughter, Terrie Dail Bryant and husband Brock of Nags Head; a son, William Earl Dail, Jr. of Grimesland; five grandchildren, James, Carl, Ashly, Joshua, and Jessica; and three great-grandchildren, Abigail, Stephen, and Jasmine. A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Elizabeth City, by Pastor Darryl Stallings. Friends may join the family at the residence. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is handling arrangements.
