Wade's Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our dear Wade on February 27, 2025. He died peacefully, surrounded by family and friends after a month-long struggle to survive liver and kidney failure.

Wade was born March 21, 1978, in Santa Barbara and moved to Sonoma County in 1984. He is survived by his parents, brother, sister-in-law, two nephews, two nieces, grandfather, uncle, son, and numerous cousins living in Michigan.

He graduated from Elsie Allen High School in 1997 where he played football and was Drum Major for their award-winning marching band. He worked at many jobs over the years, mostly in construction. His favorite was always as a heavy equipment operator.

The love of music was always a constant in Wade’s life. He and two friends formed an original rock and roll band about 20 years ago named, “An American Tradition” (formerly called “Soundrift”). He will be remembered for his long drum solos while performing with the band.

Wade will be forever in our hearts, but we can be thankful he is no longer suffering. The outpouring of love and care from the many people his life touched has been such a comfort to his family.
