Walter Hill Clement, III, age 86, passed away on Friday March 24, 2017 after a long illness surrounded by his loving family. A native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell since 1955.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rosemary Sires Clement.
He was preceded in death by his eldest son Walter Hill Clement, IV, his parents, Walter Hill Clement, Jr. and Elvera Revolta Clement, and his sister, Linda Clement Norvell.
His surviving children are Bruce William Clement (Lisa Fitzmorris Clement), Candace Clement Collins, MD(Jason H. Collins, MD), Mary Anne Clement, and Gwendolyn Maria Clement.
Brother of Shirley Clement Smith and Dorothy Clement Cooper.
He is survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Clement retired from South Central Bell after 33 years and upon retirement continued in his own telecommunication company.
Behind the scenes, he tirelessly supported his wife in her dancing school recitals.
He and the love of his life, “Miss Rosemary” traveled the world and enjoyed outdoor water activities at their home on Bayou Bonfouca.
He was parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 400 Westchester Place, Slidell, LA 70458 on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 11:30 AM.
Visitation at the church will begin at 10:00 AM until Mass time.
The burial will be private.
The family requests prayers or a donation to Notre Dame Hospice or a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
