Linda & family, I am so sorry to hear of Walt’s passing. I have many fond memories of Christmas nights; getting together with all the cousins, especially at Aunt Irene’s house. May he rest in peace.

Walter's Obituary

Walter W. Edelman, Jr., 78, of Bangor, PA, passed away Wednesday, July 30th, at New Eastwood Healthcare & Rehab, Easton, PA.

Walter was born in Pen Argyl, PA, on September 4, 1946, a son of the late Walter W. and Doris (Hower) Edelman.

He was the husband of Linda (Ramsey) Edelman. They would have celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary this coming August. Walter was a 1964 graduate of Pen Argyl High School, Pen Argyl, PA. He was employed as a machine operator where he made markers at Crayola in Forks Twp., PA, for 25 years until retiring.

Walter was a member of the Slate Belt Mighty MOPAR Club, a son of the Wind Gap American Legion Post 724, and a member of the Roseto Rod & Gun Club. He also enjoyed working on classic cars, hunting, going to meat and gun raffles, and spending his summers in Delaware with his wife.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Bangor, PA.

In addition to his wife Linda, Walter is survived by two daughters, Janelle Pogirnicki, wife of Thomas, Tawni Mosley, wife of Bob. a son, Steven Edelman, husband of Kim, three brothers, Albert Edelman, David Edelman, husband of Louise, and Jeffrey Edelman, husband of Jacquelin, nine grandchildren, Emily Lee, wife of Cody, Abbey Hoagland, wife of Erick Padilla, Jamie Hoagland, wife of Cynthia Soloman, Thomas Pogirnicki, husband of Amber Compton, Paul Pogirnicki, Sydney Edelman, Paige Edelman, Mitchell Connor, husband of Isabella, and Lindsay Connor, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Marie Edelman.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11 AM on Monday, August 4th at Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 314 S. First St., Bangor, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, August 4th, at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Plainfield Cemetery, Wind Gap, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 55 N. Third Street, Bangor, PA 18013.
