Not sure what to say?

Whenever Scott and I first married, Walt sat me down and said, "We want you to call us Mom and Dad. Is that okay with you?" He has been my Dad for 33 years and I cannot imagine life without his huge hugs and his sweet kiss each and every time we were together. Christ-like love is the best way to describe you. I love and miss you.

I still remember Brother and Sister Horn's smiles that they so willingly shared with me some 36 years ago. You always made me feel welcomed and loved, like I was in the right place. It made life a better place, when as a teenager I was always so full of self doubt! I hope my smile can do as much for the next group coming up.

Our thoughts & prayers are with the Horn family as they come together to celebrate the life of this wonderful man, Walter Horn. He was an influential man who willingly shared his time and talents wherever needed. Thank you for blessing the St Charles ward for all these years. You will be missed.

Walt was always such a fun guy to be around. He lifted your spirit whenever he was present. I have always considered him and his family some of my best friends. I have missed him and them more than I can say.Super Saturdays have never been the same sense they left us he has left this world a better place we'll miss him.very much. Love to all his family.

Our thoughts and prayer are with you and your family at this time. I still remember the first time I met Brother Horn, he was my Sunday School teacher as a youth. I walked into class and thought Daddy Warbucks from the movie Annie was my teacher. He shared the love he had of the scriptures and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Until we meet again.

Walt was a great man and a good mentor. I have many memories, but the one that stand out was how he helped me prepare a speech as a 12 or 13 year old and provided great encouragement to a scared little boy. We practiced and practiced and eventually fear was replaced with confidence. I've leaned on that experience many times in my life. thanks to him and family for all they've done for so many. I hope to see him again.

Walt is and was a faithful servant of His Savior as he demonstrated by serving others. He and his family's years of service in Russellville Ward greatly assisted the expansion of the Ward and especially the Youth Program. His support and leadership was a wonderful comfort to me as I served as Bishop and I am so grateful for the wonderful influence he had on my sons as they grew up. His impact on the lives of the youth will earn him great rewards in his home the other side of the veil. My...

Walt was a HUGE influence for good in my teenage years in Arkansas, the world is a better place because of him.

So sorry to hear of Walt's passing. A good friend and a great guy - he will be sorely missed.
