Walter's Obituary
Graveside services for Walter W. Mitchell, III, 59, of Douglas, GA, formerly of Roberta, will be held on Friday at 11:00 at Roberta City Cemetery. Mr. Mitchell passed away on August 17, 2013 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA. Walter was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Having received degrees from Crawford County High School, Brigham Young University and North Carolina Central University, Mr. Mitchell worked as a librarian until his retirement.Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his father, Walter William Mitchell, Jr.; his mother, Frances Elizabeth Freeman Mitchell; a brother, Dennis Wayne Mitchell.Survivors include one sister, Lynn (Warren) Patrick of Thomaston.You may sign the online guest register at www.mcleightonfuneralservice.comMcLeighton Funeral Service of Roberta is in charge of arrangements.
