I will always remember the nights after you were done working and drove up the street and saw my kitchen lights on you would turn around and come by for some good Italian food
You were always there for anyone that. Needed a horse trailers and had a heart of gold I may be in Tennessee but will miss talking to you You will be greatly missed

Walter's Obituary

Walter F. Sorenson, Jr, a lifelong resident of Reading, passed away in Stoneham on October 6, 2025. He was 70 years of age. Walter was born on September 28,1955, in Melrose, Massachusetts. He was the cherished son of Florence L. (Kumpel) Sorenson of Reading and the late Walter F. Sorenson.

Walter was a graduate of Franklin Institute in Boston. He was known for his impressive mechanical and technical aptitude and his ability to fix anything. He cared deeply about all animals. He also loved spending time with family and friends at Sebago Lake in Maine.

In addition to his mother, Walter is survived by his life partner Lori Desousa of Stoneham, his siblings Deborah Stefani (Mike) of Shrewsbury, Matthew Sorenson of West Boylston, John Sorenson (Joanne) of Reading and Benjamin Sorenson (Anita) of North Attleboro.

A visitation will be held at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn Street (at the corner of Woburn Street) Reading on Sunday October 12 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.
