Mr. Walter Thomas Hamilton, II, age 52 died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at his residence. He was born September 4, 1965 to the late Gladys Bateman Hamilton and Walter Thomas Hamilton in Jacksonville, NC. He was a 1983 graduate of Washington High School and attended the BLET program at Beaufort County Community College. Walter was a member of Church of Christ in Plymouth, NC. He was an investigator for the Washington County Sheriff's Department and previously owned his own company The Gutter Guys. He is survived by his loving wife Kay Hamilton at home, one son, Thomas Hamilton and girlfriend Stacy of Wendell, NC, one daughter, Alana Everett and husband Travis of Grimesland, NC, two step-daughters; Darcie DeTullio of Greenville, PA and Jamie DeTullio and Fiancée Matt Holley of Wilmington, NC, one step-grandson, Kyler DeTullio of Greenville, PA, one brother, Michael Grimsley and wife Rebecca of Washington, NC, three sister; Linda Windley and husband Buddy of Washington, NC Geraldine Wells and husband Brad of Swansboro, NC and Tammy Suozzo and husband Matt of New Milton, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Walt's life will be held 12:00 pm, Saturday, February 3, 2018 in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations with Deborah Paul officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the foyer of Hillside Funeral Service.
