Wanda Cushenberry Miles was born to the late William Cushenberry, Sr. and Florida Videau Cushenberry Paul on February 16, 1962. She earned her wings on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Wanda was very passionate about her family and faith. She was baptized at an early age by the late Rev. Raymond Marcelle, Sr. in Geismar, Louisiana. GOD led her to join Present Truth Prayer Center in 2007, pastored by Pastors Randy and Sandra Smith where she faithfully served the Lord until HE called her home. She was a faithful prayer warrior, Intercessor and servant of the Lord.. She was educated in the Iberville Parish School System and graduated from Sunshine High School in the Class of 1980. She was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life Gary Miles on November 07, 1996. They shared 29 years of marital bliss with their children and grandchildren. She was employed at McDonald’s for 15 years. She was also employed at the Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women for 22 years where she retired as an Assistant Warden. Wanda loved traveling, enjoying life and being around family and friends. She loved being with her children and grandchildren who brightened her days. Wanda leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Gary Miles, five children: TeRhonda (Curtis) Marshall, Frank (Robin) Cushenberry, Shamika (Anthony) Cushenberry-Carter, T’esheka (Anthony) Williams, Sr. and Javon (Kiara) Miles. Ten siblings: Elliott (Katrina) Cushenberry, Eldrick (Anne) Cushenberry, William (Don LaShelle) Cushenberry, Jr., Brian (Karen) Cushenberry, Eric (Donna) Cushenberry, LaTonya Cushenberry, Michael (Brenda) Derricks, Jerome Derricks, Kim (Eric) Catchings and Kenny (Lynn) Cushenberry. Two brothers-in-law: Eugene Miles and Felton (Gwendolyn) Miles. Two sisters-in-law: Veary O’Bear and Corelia Verret. Godchildren: Jarvis Martin, Keondria Cushenberry Ariana Miles and Sariel Pierce. Nineteen grandchildren: Amber (Marcus)Redditt Williams, Brittany Redditt, Chance Redditt, Destini (Taylin) Wilson, Curtis (Diamond) Payne, Curtise Charles, Curnika Gilmore, Noah Cushenberry, Khloe Cushenberry, Kinley Scott, Karter Villacis, D’Anthony Carter, Shantanae Carter, Anthony Carter, Jr., Bailey Nicholas, Anthony Williams, Jr., Addison Williams, Jazon Muse and JaKai Miles. Twelve great-grandchildren: Eryn Redditt, Emon Johnson, Ethan Redditt, Amari Williams, Logan Lewis, Laila Lewis, Taylin Wilson,Jr., Khai Payne, Brennen Robinson, Brysen Whitaker, Harmony Fountain and Tah’nae Arbuckle. Eight aunts: Leona Jackson, Barbara Scott, Elaine C. Stephens, Blossom C. Garner, Wille Mae “Suzie” Camel, Judy (George) Hilliard, Irene Cushenberry and Hannah Cushenberry. Three uncles: Ernest (Joyce) Cushenberry, Lafe (Viola) Cushenberry, Jr., and Freddie (Carolyn) Cushenberry. Beloved nieces: Porche Cushenberry, Ashley Cushenberry Taylor, Kristy Mack, Ashley Mack, Constance Williams, Amy Miles and Chardcie Verret. Beloved nephews: Harold Taij Stewart, Harold Carrington Stewart, William Cushenberry, III, Timothy Cushenberry, Keith Cushenberry, Ramon Latimore and Jai Miles. Bonus Daughters: Stephanie Jones, Vanessa Seals and Neitra Johnson. Son Miguel Joseph, Brother Elvis “Gate” Cushenberry, Sr. Nephews: Elvis Cushenberry Jr and Christopher Haney.
