PEORIA - Wanda B. Cyboran , 97, of Peoria, formerly of Cicero, IL, died at Heartland Healthcare Center in Peoria on Monday, August 27, 2012.
Wanda was born in Chicago, IL to John and Mary Nytko, on December 23, 1914. She married Frank Cyboran, in Chicago IL on October 5, 1940. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1971.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and one brother.
Surviving are her daughter, Bernadette Shekleton, and son-in-law, Dr. Michael Shekleton of Peoria; four grandchildren, Matthew, Anne, Sarah, and Mark, and their spouses; and four great grandchildren.
Wanda loved her church, her home, and family. She would do whatever she could to help others. She especially loved children.
A funeral Mass will be held at St Philomena Church at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, August 30, 2012 with visitation one hour before also at the church. Rev. David Richardson will officiate. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice IL, the following day at 12:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the tuition assistance fund at St. Philomena School or to OSF Hospice in lieu of flowers.
