Wanda Lee "Bubbles" Hatfield May 14, 1933 - October 10, 2025
In the words of her favorite song, it was a glad morning, on October 10, 2025, when Wanda Lee Hatfield of Hardy flew away to a home on God's celestial shore. A daughter of the late Charles Monroe Dotson and Myrl McCoy, Wanda was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Wanda loved to cook for her family, she loved to do embroidering, play checkers and solitaire. She also loved to sing and play gospel music but her greatest love was for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Hardy Methodist Church, now known as Anchor Point Church. Lovingly known to all as "Bubbles", she was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hatfield; three sons, Sherman, Clayton and Daniel Brian "Bear"; a grandson, Daniel Brian II "Little Bear"; two brothers, Walker Dotson and Charles Dotson; and two sons-in-law, Terry Long and Timmy Williamson.She is survived by five of her eight children, Ruth Warner (Paul), Kaye Williamson, Kathy Thorpe (Earl), Robert Hatfield, and June Chapman (Randy); sixteen grandchildren, Joseph Warner (Lucy), Jonathan Warner (Hyun Jin), Renee Phelps, Tommy Hatfield (Tracie), Karen Bentfield (Doug), Alex Williamson (Nea), Kimberley White (Justin), Melanie Davis (Ricky), Ashley Coleman (Patrick), Ariel Epling, Shawnda Hatfield, Lorrie Armitage (Cody), Aaron, Brandon and Randy Chapman, and Austin Hatfield; twenty-seven great grandchildren, Luca, Francine, Mason and Anna Warner, Dalton Hatfield (Jody), Hannah Hatfield, Olivia and Katelyn Bentfield, Jocelyne and Jovie Phelps, Jackson Rames Williamson, Kolton, Jackson and Kelsie White, Lauren and Shawn Lowery, Cascien and Aryana Bender, Jason Epling, Ayden and Kelsey Huffman, Jaelyn and Jocelyn Thacker, Branson Purvis, Christopher and Virginia Armitage, and Kingston Chapman; one great great grandchild, Nalani Lowery; two brothers, Thomas Dotson (Patty) and Adrian Dotson (Margaret); a sister, Jackie Elrod; two daughters-in-law, Brigitte Hatfield and Lisa Hatfield; and many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. Wanda's visitation will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 6 - 9 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, October 16, 2025, in the funeral home chapel beginning at 1 PM with Geoff Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Dotson Cemetery, Ransom, KY, with her family and friends serving as pallbearers. R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, KY, is serving the Hatfield family.
