Wardell Carter Sr. was born in Wynne, Arkansas on August 19,1957, to the later Leon Carter and Cora Lee Haggans.
Wardell passed away on June 24, 2025, at the NWA Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville, Arkansas at the age of 67. He was preceded in death along with both of his parents.
Wardell worked for Consolidated Youth Service as a Team Leader and his religious faith was Baptist and he was a member of the Mason Sun Set Lodge 101 of Forrest City, Arkansas and a St. Joseph Grand Lodge 33rd.
Wardell has one son, Wardell Carter Jr. of Fayetteville, Arkansas, two daughters Adrienne Carter of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Vernoica Walker of Wynne, Arkansas, two sisters Margaret Ann Stegen of Wynne, Arkansas, Darlene Davis of Fort Worth, Texas, two brothers Pleasant Carter and Calvin Carter both of Wynne, Arkansas, seven grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Union Valley M/B.C in Wynne, Arkansas.
Visitation: Tuesday July 1, 2025, at 5-7 p.m. at Woodard Funeral Service in Wynne, Arkansas.
