Warren George Heimerdinger, age 89, of Stockton, IL passed away Monday, March 16, 2026 at Liberty Village in Freeport. He was born on November 11, 1936 in Freeport to the late William and Esther (Althof) Heimerdinger. Warren married Ruth Krahenbuehl in 1958 at Massbach.
Warren was a 1954 graduate of Pearl City High School. He spent two years in the United States Navy aboard the USS Mullaney. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Stockton. Warren had farmed in his early years and retired from Dura Automotive. He was an avid Green Bay Packers, Chicago White Sox, and Stockton Blackhawks fan. Warren was seen for many years around town walking his “little white dog”.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Heimerdinger; his son, John (Trish) Heimerdinger of Melbourne, FL; his grandson, Dr. Josh (Amanda) Heimerdinger of Indialantic, FL; his granddaughter, Sarah (Taaj Martin) Heimerdinger of Chicago; and his great granddaughter, Leah Heimerdinger of Indialantic, FL. Warren was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Merle; and his sister, Mary Osborne.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established.
