Wayne was the greatest athlete for his size that I ever saw. What I most remember about him was that he was nice to everyone.

In 1961, I moved to Clarendon for my first teaching job at Clarendon High School. I stayed with Mrs. Hettie Beadles, and that's where I met Wayne and Margaret and their daughter Kimberly. They were frequently at Mr. Beadles house, and Kimberly and I became buddies. I thought of Wayne as a role model for a husband and dad. He and Margaret were so kind to me. I am so glad he had a long and successful life. My husband John and I send our sincere sympathy to the family.

As a student, coach, & teacher at Clarendon HS, I always looked up to Coach Beadles. He was one of the most gentlemanly person you could ever meet. Coach, Mrs. Margaret,Wayne Jr., & Kimberly welcomed Karen & I into their home. Mrs. Margaret was a wonderful cook! Karen still uses a lot of the recipes Mrs. Margaret gave her. Just great people! I also had the honor of coaching Wayne Jr as a mighty Clarendon Lion. Our prayers go out to Mrs. Margaret, Wayne, and Kimberly. He will...

William Wayne Beadles Sr., (91), a beloved father, husband, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, at White County Medical Center in Searcy, Arkansas. Born on December 23, 1934, in Blackton, Arkansas, to W. L. "Bill" and Hettie Brown Beadles, Wayne led a life full of love for his family, and community.
Wayne's pursuit of knowledge was evident throughout his life. Upon completing his degree, Wayne coached and taught at Holly Grove Public Schools for two years before joining Clarendon Public Schools. He left an indelible mark on the lives of countless students as a dedicated teacher and coach.
In later years, Wayne transitioned into farming, cultivating not only crops but also deep connections with his community. His dedication was evident through his involvement in a variety of organizations. Other achievements included being inducted into the Arkansas Athletic Track and Field Hall of Fame, UCA Track and Field Hall of Fame and receiving the Arkansas Pioneer Wall of Fame Award from AECC.
Wayne's energetic spirit extended beyond his work and community service. His hobbies ranged from bicycling, reading, hunting, golfing, to exploring new places through travel.
As a steadfast man of faith, Wayne has been a member of the Clarendon Church of Christ for 70 years. His faith was an integral part of his life, and he found comfort in sharing his spiritual journey with his loved ones and church family.
In his life of service, Wayne left an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Hettie Brown Beadles.
