Not sure what to say?

I am just now hearing about Wayne. I'm so sorry for your loss and am praying for you and your family. I have always thought of you as being such a strong woman. Strength that only God can give....May the Lord comfort you and give you even more strength to carry on.....Love you sweet lady.

Oh, Sandra,
My heart aches when I think of your sorrow. So many of our dear friends are slipping away, and each time one leaves, a part of me dies, too. Virgil and I have so many fond memories of our old group. I want to share an excerpt of a book I read recently on Jewish culture. It focuses on Psalm 56:8 that states God " puts our tears in a bottle." I'm sure you know that Jewish women had little value in their culture, and their sorrows were intense. Our omniscient God felt...

I am going to miss Mr. Wayne. He was a loyal customer and friend. May God comfort his family and friends until we meet in Heaven.

Wayne was a wonderful friend, husband, father, & grandfather. I was n their wedding as a brides maid so many great years of friendship with family. Prayers for family & healing for family. ❤

So sorry to hear about Wayne. Always enjoyed talking to him.

Obituary

Wayne's Obituary

Wayne Louis Kellar, born October 24, 1943, to Othel and Mae Kellar, died peacefully in his sleep September 25, 2025. He joins his parents, Othel and Mae, his brothers, Jay and Wilfred in the company of the Lord. He is survived by his loving wife Sandra of sixty-two years, their children, Jeffrey Kellar of Fayetteville and Sarah Cook and husband Tim Cook of Little Rock. Five grandchildren: Jackson, Harrison, and Rose Cook; Lucas and Gabriella Kellar.

Services are Sunday September 28, 2025, at 2pm at Brinkley First Baptist Church. Internment immediately following at Oaklawn Cemetery in Brinkley, Arkansas.

Wayne was born in Martinville, AR and his family moved to Cotton Plant when he was in the 3rd grade. At an early age he developed a strong work ethic even scooping ice cream at the age of seven to help support his family, chopping cotton before and after school, and bagging groceries in high school. In 1961 after graduating high school, he began dating Sandra Duncan. They were married in 1964 and lived in Ft. Worth until moving back to Brinkley in 1965. Sandra taught school and Wayne worked for his father-in-law, Garner, until striking out to farm in 1974 with his brother-in-law, Drury. He farmed for 43 years until his retirement in 2017. Wayne devoted the next eight years to his grandchildren and cheerfully (most of the time) the “to do list” Sandra compiled for him.

Wayne was baptized at the First Baptist Church, Brinkley after professing his faith in Jesus Christ. He was an active member there for forty-five years until he joined the body of believers in Heaven this past Thursday. He will be missed by all those who loved him.

Memorial gifts may be made to Operation Resolute, P.O Box 565, Belhaven, North Carolina 27810 or the charity of your choice.
