Wayne's Obituary

Mr. Wayne Edgar Toedebusch passed away in Columbia, MO surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at the age of 78. He was a beloved husband for more than 56 years, loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. He is survived by his wife Carol Toedebusch (nee: Bueltmann) of Jonesburg, MO; four children, Tina Toedebusch of Jonesburg, MO, Jennifer (Bill) Miller of Jonesburg, MO, Ann (Bob) Boehmer of Flint Hill, MO and Dr. Brian (Courtney) Toedebusch of Columbia, MO; seven grandchildren, Kelsey, Isabella, Savannah, and Katlyn Miller and Michael, Matthew and Elizabeth Boehmer.

Wayne was born on August 17, 1943, in St. Charles, MO to the late Edgar and Alice (nee: Richterkessing) Toedebusch. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul (Mary Sue) Toedebusch, of Wright City, MO. He spent his younger years growing up on the family farm in St. Charles, MO. In 1959 the family bought and moved to a new farm in Warren County where he attended and later graduated from Warren County High School. Following high school, Wayne worked at the Permaneer Corporation located in Wright City, MO for fifteen years. He proudly served his country for six years in the Missouri Army National Guard 175th MP. When Wayne and Carol married on September 4, 1965, they settled on the prairie in northern Warren County where they raised their family. Wayne spent his time there doing what he loved most, which was working the ground to grow his crops and feeding his livestock. Wayne was involved in many organizations including the Warren County Pork Producers, the Warren County Cattleman's Association and the Missouri Farm Bureau. Wayne was employed as a feed salesman for ADM Animal Nutrition (formerly Moorman Manufacturing Company) for the past 29 years. He and his family were members of St. John's Lutheran Church in Warrenton for many years.

In his spare time when he wasn't busy farming and selling feed he liked to fish and enjoyed attending many area auctions and livestock barn sales. Wayne enjoyed spending time at the county fairs where he would see his children and grandchildren show their 4-H and FFA animals. He spent many years as the beef project leader for the Camp Branch 4-H Club.

In 2013, Wayne and Carol moved to Jonesburg, MO on the family farm where Carol was raised. He continued to spend his days raising cattle and farming the pasture. They are members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jonesburg. Wayne will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
