Not sure what to say?

Wendel and I served as Platoon Leaders together in the 82d, I remember hims as a competent and dedicated Officer and a fine man. May he rest in peace and his remembrance be enduring.

Kristen, I just heard about your sadness. Keeping You and your Family in heart and prayer during this very tender time..

It was a pleasure knowing Wendel during our time together in the Golden Griffins and Desert Shield/Storm. Thank you for taking me under your wing when I arrived as a wide-eyed Lieutenant. You were an outstanding individual. Until we meet again. Airborne.

Wendel was remarkable, a dedicated husband and father, a leader, teacher and the person who could bring a smile to his fellow soldiers in even the most difficult times. Meryl and I were proud to have served with him and his loving wife Liz in the Golden Griffins and cherish our time together. Our heart goes out to Liz and the Quon Family and please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

See you on the high ground, my friend.

Wendel was very special and our world will not be the same without him. I will cherish my time with at Fort Bragg, Fort Lee and as a deployed Griffin. His smile was infectious and will be missed. Please accept my deepest condolences.Airborne ATW!

Words can not express how sad this made Hope and I when we got the news Wendel had passed away. He was one of a kind and a true friend. He could always make me laugh and was the life of the party. I have countless fond memories of our times together at Lee and Bragg that I reflect upon often. I will never forget him. Airborne my Jumpmaster Brother!
